Pray for This Time of Year

I know that some folks think that some things are too trivial to bring before the Lord in prayer. But I believe that God wants us to bring everything to Him in prayer! Actually, His word says so in Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Obviously, this isn't talking about things that we lustfully desire such as a bright, new sports car or a house bigger than our friend's. These are things that we ask for in the right spirit and for the right reasons.

Today's Request....

Please pray for the students and teachers in the state of Kentucky as they undergo statewide testing these next 2 weeks. You wouldn't believe the pressure that we are under. Pray that our students remember the things that we have taught and use them to demonstrate their understanding. I also pray that everything be done according to the rules and regulations and that the stress from this whole thing will ease up for us all in the coming years.

I also pray for all those who are non-tenured (including myself). With a mandatory raise for all Kentucky teachers next year, a lot of districts are having to let some teachers go because they can't afford to pay them. I pray that God's hand would be upon us and that His will would be done in all of our situations.
